Mini Veggie Garden
Maya has been my little helper when it comes to keeping our indoor plants alive. We started off with a couple of plants in the living room, now we have quite a collection all around the house. Whoever knew that we would toss our faux plants for real plants? 😂
During the last few weeks of school, Maya planted a bean sprout at her school. She talked about how vegetables grow from seeds too. I promised her that we would start our own veggie garden this summer. She kept reminding me! Now, I did buy packets of seeds at first but I ended up buying vegetable plants the other day. Nothing wrong with starting with a plant instead of a seed, right?
I found these stackable planters from the dollar store. I thought they would be perfect for us to add on to as we get more. I used my Cricut Joy to create fun quotes on the planters. It was super simple and took me less than 30 minutes! Ever since I got my Cricut Joy, I’ve been using it a lot more than my Maker. It’s definitely perfect for your every day DIY projects. Don’t let the size fool you… it’s such a might machine! It can even make a growth chart if you use the Smart Vinyl! The Smart Vinyl is where it’s at! I used removable vinyl for this project because with didn’t want it to be permanent. I wanted to be able to remove it and change it when I feel like it. I think it turned out great! Maya is watching the vegetable’s progress, everyday. I can’t wait for the time for me to use the vegetables for our meals. 🥰
