A season to celebrate!

I know I’m a couple of weeks late blogging about Tristan’s football season but our schedule got so hectic after it ended. But hey! Better late than never, right?

Tristan’s football team faced some bumps in the beginning! We didn’t know if football season would even happen because of COVID and the league we were supposed to play for had some issues. So we joined a different league and we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. But it all worked out perfectly. We absolutely enjoyed the league we ended up in which was more competitive and provided a better challenge for our boys. Our team had such great coaches, supportive parents, and families who came out to cheer on our boys every game! Football teams can have some drama but thankfully our team was drama free! Everyone got along, parents cheered on each other’s kids, and no arguments! It was a dream team that came true!

The season finally started and most of the teams have been established for years. Here we are, coming into a new league with our boys who have only been playing together for 1-3 years but we are so proud of our boys. They were a year younger and pretty much dominated their division. Unfortunately, we didn’t quite make it to the Super Bowl game! In fact, I missed that semi-final game because I was traveling but I was able to watch live videos and recorded videos. Our boys slacked during the first half but caught up during the second half…. however, we came up a tad bit short. I was so bummed I didn’t get to see their last game but so thankful for the videos.

Of course, we couldn’t end the season without an EPIC end of the season party! We celebrated at Pinstripes in Fort Worth and it was everything the boys deserved. Great food, good music, fun times, and lots of laughters. Special thanks to Pinstripes for hosting our team, the parents for helping out with the special gifts for the players, and the coaches for sending our boys off with wise words. I’m truly going to miss this football family and I’m hoping we will be able to play together again next year.
